ELUDRILPRO Dosage

RESERVED FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN OVER 6 YEARS OLD.

Usual dosage  : 10 to 15 ml of solution twice a day (to be diluted in the measuring cup, filling up to the top line with lukewarm water): perform the mouthwash until the measuring cup is used up.

If necessary, this dosage can be increased to 3 times a day, knowing that the maximum dose is 20 ml (to be diluted), 3 times a day.

Brush teeth before each use and rinse mouth thoroughly with water before using ELUDRILPRO, mouthwash solution.

For the single-dose vial, dilute the contents of the vial in half a glass of water and perform the mouthwash.

The use of ELUDRILPRO, solution for mouthwash is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity ( allergy ) to chlorhexidine, chlorobutanol or other constituents of the solution.

Duration of the treatment

  • The duration of treatment may be 2 weeks in gingival inflammation and periodontitis. The duration of treatment can only be extended beyond 2 weeks on medical advice.

  • Chlorhexidine is a broad spectrum bactericidal antiseptic, belonging to the bisdiguanide family.
  • The antiseptic activity of the solution for mouthwash ELUDRILPRO, solution for mouthwash has been demonstrated in vitro in particular on pathogenic germs of the oral flora such as Porphyromonas gingivalis, A. actinomycetemcomitans, Prevotella intermedia, Capnocytophaga ochracea, Eikenella corrodens, Fusobacterium nucleatum, Campylobacter rectus.
  • By its antiseptic activity, the ELUDRILPRO solution, solution for mouthwash helps to reduce dental plaque and consequently, gingival inflammation.
  • Chlorobutanol has antibacterial and antifungal properties. It is also used as a local analgesic in preparations for inflammation and pain of the ear and oropharynx.

How To Store ELUDRILPRO ?

  • Keep this medication out of the sight and reach of children.
  • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the bottle. The expiration date refers to the last day of that month.
  • Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C.
  • Do not throw away any medicines via a wastewater treatment plant or with household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away the medicines you no longer use. These measures will help protect the environment.

Warnings and Precautions

  • Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using ELUDRILPRO, solution for mouthwash .
  • This medication is for local use as a mouthwash.
  • Don’t ship the solution.
  • Do not put this product in contact with your eyes, nose or ears. In case of contact, wash immediately with plenty of water.
  • Prolonged use may expose the tongue, teeth, dentures and filling materials to staining. This discoloration is reversible and can be avoided by brushing teeth daily before using the mouthwash, or by using a dental solution for dentures and filling materials.
  • In case of persistence of symptoms beyond 5 days and / or associated fever, the advice of a doctor or a dental surgeon should be requested.
  • This medicine can cause severe generalized allergic reactions due to the chlorhexidine content, which may occur a few minutes after exposure.
  • If the medicine is given to a child over 6 years old, you must make sure that the child does not swallow it, because this medicine contains alcohol.

Pregnancy

Overdose is not expected under normal conditions of use of this mouthwash solution.

Symptoms after ingestion

  • Systemic effects are rare because chlorhexidine is poorly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract.
  • Local effects such as local irritation (throat, esophagus) and a burning sensation (mouth, throat) may appear.

  • Excipients: sodium docusate, 96 percent ethanol, glycerol, levomenthol, mint essential oil alcoholic solution, purified water, cochineal red A (E124).
  • Excipients with known effect: 96% ethanol (44.530 ml); cochineal red A (E124) (0.003 g); less than 1 mmol (23 mg) sodium (contained in docusate sodium), that is, it is essentially “sodium-free”.
