RESERVED FOR ADULTS (from 15 years old).

  • 1 to 2 tablets at the time of heartburn or acid reflux, or 4 to 8 tablets per day.
  • In case of more intense pain, the dosage may be increased, for a short period, to 12 tablets per day.
  • The duration of treatment will be limited to 10 days.

Never take RENNIE, tablet in case of:

  • a history of allergy to one of the components of the tablet,
  • severe kidney disease,
  • hypercalcemia (abnormally high level of calcium in the blood).

  • Association of two antacids (calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate).
  • This medicine has a local action, and does not depend on blood absorption.

There is a decrease in the digestive absorption of drugs administered simultaneously.

As a precaution, antacids should be taken away from other drugs.

Take this medication more than 2 hours apart , if possible, with:

Warnings and Precautions

Warnings

  • You should only use this medicine after advice from your doctor:
    • if your problems are associated with weight loss,
    • if you have difficulty swallowing or persistent abdominal discomfort,
    • if you are having trouble with your digestion for the first time or if these problems have changed recently,
    • if you have kidney disease.
  • Due to the presence of sucrose, this medication should not be used in patients with fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome or sucrase-isomaltase deficiency (rare metabolic diseases).

DO NOT LEAVE THIS MEDICINE WITHIN THE REACH OF CHILDREN.

Precautions for use

Use this medication only with caution

  • If the intensity and / or frequency of symptoms persist without improvement or worsen after 10 days of treatment, do not increase the dose but take the advice of your doctor or pharmacist.
  • If you are led to exceed 4 to 8 tablets per day, this treatment should be of short duration. It should not be continued after the symptoms disappear. You should not exceed 12 tablets per day.
  • This medication contains 475 mg of sucrose per tablet: take it into account in the daily ration in the event of a low-sugar diet or diabetes.

  • In animals, there are no reliable data on teratogenesis. Ossification abnormalities have been described at high doses and with prolonged administration of calcium carbonate.
  • Clinically, no particular malformative or foetotoxic effect has appeared to date at the recommended dosages. However, the follow-up of pregnancies exposed to this association is insufficient to exclude any risk.
  • Therefore, the use of this medicine should only be considered during pregnancy if necessary .
  • Take into account the presence of:
    • · Magnesium salts that can cause diarrhea,
    • · Calcium salts, which in high and prolonged doses, expose to the risk of hypercalcemia with calcinosis of various organs, especially the kidneys.

Feeding with milk

  • Breast-feeding is possible under the normal conditions of using this medication.
