Do not use LAROSCORBINE 1 g / 5 ml, solution for injection IV in ampoule in the following cases:

  • Hypersensitivity to any of the components, in particular to methyl or propyl parahydroxybenzoate.
  • Kidney stone.

How To Store laroscorbine ?

  • Keep this medication out of the sight and reach of children.
  • Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the outer packaging after EXP. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
  • Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C.
  • Do not throw away any medicines via a wastewater treatment plant or with household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away the medicines you no longer use. These measures will help protect the environment.

Like all medicines, LAROSCORBINE 1 g / 5 ml, solution for injection IV in ampoule can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

At high doses greater than 1 g / day, possibility of:

  • digestive disorders (heartburn, diarrhea),
  • urinary disorders (discomfort when passing urine or red coloring of the urine),
  • hemolysis (destruction of red blood cells) in subjects deficient in glucose 6 phosphate dehydrogenase (lack of an enzyme in red blood cells).

  • Consumed in high doses (more than 2 g / day), ascorbic acid can interfere with the following biological tests: dosage of creatinine and blood and urine glucose (control of diabetes by glucose oxidase test).
  • This medicine contains vitamin C. Other medicines contain it. Do not combine them so as not to exceed the maximum recommended doses.
  • IN ORDER TO AVOID POSSIBLE INTERACTIONS BETWEEN SEVERAL MEDICINES, ANY OTHER TREATMENT MUST BE SENIORLY REPORTED TO YOUR DOCTOR OR YOUR PHARMACIST.

Fertility

  • There are no data on the effects of LAROSCORBINE 1 g / 5 ml, solution for injection IV in ampoule on human fertility.

What happens if I overdose from laroscorbine ?

  • Consumed in high doses (more than 2 g / day), ascorbic acid can interfere with the following biological tests: dosage of creatinine and blood and urine glucose (control of diabetes by glucose oxidase test).
  • Acute hemolysis has been observed following administration of large doses of ascorbic acid (i.e. greater than 1 g / day in adults) in subjects deficient in G6PD.
